Initially wouldn't work at all - kept kicking out Java errors. Requires Java installation that I struggled with on my home PC. Subsequent versions have added ability to upload multiple files and other file management features. Original version worked nicely for individual upload of small files. It looks like Brian McMichael won the race with the ultra-simple simpleglacieruploader. When Amazon announced its very low priced Glacier service that lacked an end-user tool for uploading files a scramble was kicked-off to be the first provider. Cloudberry Backup now works fine on my slow home internet connection. Cloudberry issued an update a few days later and now Cloudberry Backup can retry to upload files until they have been successfully uploaded. When Glacier server timed-out (due to my slow connection) Cloudberry Backup was not able to recover. Very flexible version control and purging options.Ĭan consider this program to be a Glacier file up-loader (rather than just a backup program)Įxcellent support - I initially could not get this to work on my slow home internet connection. Very comprehensive flexible back-up options (individual files, file types, specific folders, one-type upload, on-going backup schedules, etc). My interest in this program is exclusively as a Glacier clientįully functional 15-day free trial available.

This is an established backup product which has simply added Glacier to its list of available cloud destinations. Third Glacier client to be released and clearly the most comprehensive and robust available application serving Glacier.
